Charity Race Night Is a Roaring Success!
A sold out crowd of over 200 people attended the inaugural Albion Foundation Charity Night on Friday.
It was the first event of its kind for the Foundation and judging by the enjoyment (and anguish depending on their luck) experienced by everyone attending, it won’t be the last! The night was held in the Richardson Suite of The Hawthorns Stadium. Proceeds from the night were contributed to the fundraising efforts of those attending the Foundation’s first “African Adventure”.
In May, a group of 21 Foundation staff members and club supporters will travel to Kenyan village, Nakuru, to take part in 8 days of voluntary community work and sports coaching. To enable each member to travel, they were tasked with raising £2,000 each. This was just one of several events organised by the Foundation to assist with achieving this total.
Jon Ross, Business Development Manager for The Albion Foundation said “It was fantastic to see a sell-out crowd join us for our first and certainly not our last, charity Race Night. It was amazing to see everyone cheering on their horses on the edge of their seats.”
“The proceeds from tonight will make a huge difference to our total fundraising efforts.”
The total amount raised throughout the night was approximately £2,000. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported The Albion Foundation
