Here at The Albion Foundation, we run a range of sporting and educational opportunities, working in partnership with schools and other organisations to deliver quality programmes in and out of curriculum.
Soccer and Goalkeeper Holiday Camps
Every school holiday keep your eyes peeled for our soccer and goalkeeper camps running in sports venues across Sandwell, Dudley and Worcestershire. Frequently selling out, our camps offer kids the chance to train throughout the school holidays with talented players being referred to our Player Development Centres and our Girl’s Centre of Excellence. Our camps run 10:00am – 3:30pm each day with ages ranging from 4-14 with all abilities welcome.
Baggies Soccer Centres
Available in Dudley, Sandwell and Worcester aimed at School Years Reception to Year 6, Baggies Soccer Centres are designed to help young people to have fun and develop their existing skills. Through weekly sessions at numerous venues, we aim to provide children with football training combined with fun activities to help players development.
Aimed at 3-4 year olds, Future Baggies are short 45 minute sessions to introduce youngsters to sport and encourage team work, social skills and confidence whilst developing fundamental skills.
We will be focussing on tactical and technical practices to further enhance your son/daughter’s football skills and hopefully develop those through our player pathway onto further centres and training with The Foundation. Unfortunately Football Club Academies only recruit new talent from the ages of 9 and above, so these sessions will aim to provide a solid platform for your child’s progress and follow the WBA FC’s Academy Curriculum.
Match Day Package Experience
Enjoy a match day experience at The Hawthorns with The Albion Foundation. Consisting of a training session in the WBA Academy Dome, a mini ground tour and tickets to a WBA home fixture, our match day package experience offer groups the chance to enjoy their match day in style!
Player Development Centres (PDC)
Player Development Centres (PDC) are part of the new Player Pathway which has been created by The Albion Foundation to help the development of players between the ages of U8′s to U12′s.
WBA Community Sports Hall
The Albion Foundation has, in partnership with Barclays Spaces for Sport, The Football Foundation and Smethwick Town Team, constructed and resourced the WBA Community Sports Hall. From Monday to Friday the Sports Hall is used for a range of our sports programmes and also some evenings.
Disability Development Centres
Seen as a natural progression for our after school clubs, our Disability Development Centres offer disabled athletes the opportunity to continue participating in sport in either a recreational or competitive environment.
“Charlie isn’t the most outgoing but really loves coming to football and although he doesn’t know any other kids that go, he made friends with several others.
I think your team of coaches are brilliant with the kids and always seem very approachable. They always know the kids names which amazes me because there are so many of them!
I would highly recommend you and your coaches to anyone who is looking for a football camp. You provided a welcoming friendly atmosphere which put Charlie at ease straight the way”
