October 2015 saw a group of 36 remarkable individuals completed a gruelling 26 miles walk across three of the tallest peaks in Yorkshire to raise money for The Albion Foundation.
What started off at 6:45am in the morning on Sunday 11th, quickly turned into one of the longest days of the group’s lives as they scaled Pen Y Ghent, Whernside and Inglborough, all in the space of 12 hours!
The group consisted of 21 Foundation and Club staff along with 15 Club supporters and volunteers.
In perfect conditions for walking, they were able to experience some breath-taking views over Yorkshire.
“It was a pleasure getting to meet you all and even though it really was a very tough day, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of laughs along the way, all for a fantastic cause” Sam Cook, Club Supporter.
“You and all the people associated with The Albion Foundation are fabulous. It was a massive pleasure (despite the pain!) to be part of it with you all.” Peter Moore, Club Supporter.
“I have never felt prouder to be the Director of the Foundation. I had a number of people telling me what a great bunch of people we had, and to have 36 people on board was so impressive.” Rob Lake, Foundation Director.
