Media and Promotions Officer

Full time – one year fixed term contract  
Scale 3 – £14,040 – £16,000

The Albion Foundation (registered Charity 1081948) is an established and successful provider of sport, education and disability programmes. 

The role:

Reporting to the Deputy Director the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maximising publicity and increasing awareness of The Albion Foundation. 
  • Content management of The Albion Foundation website to ensure that all areas are consistently updated and traffic is increased
  • Producing high quality video content and maintaining a bank of high quality photographs
  • Analysing, reviewing and increasing The Albion Foundation’s use of social media
  • Assisting with the implementation of CRM strategies designed to advertise and promote The Albion Foundation to West Bromwich Albion Football Club’s supporter-base
  • Supporting all promotional and celebratory events hosted by The Albion Foundation 
  • Assisting with measuring the impact of media coverage and promotional material generated by The Albion Foundation
  • Working closely with West Bromwich Albion Football Club’s Media Club to ensure synergy and partnership working

You:

  • Will possess a NCJT qualification
  • Will possess effective planning, creative and organisational skills
  • Will have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Will have an understanding of video production including the use of editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier
  • Will have a flexible approach to employment and will understand the need to work unsociable hours including evenings and weekends
  • Will possess and demonstrate all eleven Core Values agreed by The Albion Foundation

Disability Coach

Salary – £14,000 – £18,000 per annum
Full-time – 12 month initial contract
37.5 hours per week

The Albion Foundation (registered Charity 1081948) is an established and successful provider of Sports and Education programmes.

The role:

  • Reporting to the Disability Development Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Delivery of multi sport programmes to a wide range of disabled participants, which will include a diverse range of children of various ages and abilities both in schools and within the community.
  • Delivery of group/one to one mentoring and classroom support through sport based programmes.
  • Planning, delivering and adapting coaching sessions with support and training from line manager.
  • Delivering other sports, as well as other related areas of coaching such as fundamentals and multi-skills.
  • Promote disability sport awareness through a variation of different programmes. 
  • Working within the curriculum and beyond, and will be expected to work regularly on evenings, weekends and school holidays.
  • An area of development that will be chosen to match the skill set of the successful candidate and how this can add value to the Foundation

You:

  • Will hold at least 2 National Governing Body Awards in Coaching, 1 of those being a FA coaching certificate level 2 in Football. You shall also be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a similar environment of disability sport.
  • Will have the passion and ability to utilise the brand name of West Bromwich Albion FC to engage young people into activity programmes. 
  • Will have inter-personal skills, enthusiasm and energy that will quickly earn the respect of your colleagues and partners alike.
  • Will have a flexible approach to work, as will be the ability to plan and organise your work to a busy schedule. 
  • Will be open minded on coaching styles, with a commitment to further develop your current body of skills. Knowledge of Child Protection and welfare will be essential
