Our Disability Coordinator Paul Hunt visits mainstream Primary Schools and delivers an awareness raising assembly about Disability.
Paul is in a wheelchair and he uses his life experiences to increase the children’s understanding and awareness. This is followed by an opportunity for the children to try some disability sports.
“Paul delivered two superbly pitched and passionately, professionally delivered talks to the Key Stage 1, and then Key Stage 2 pupils at Woodgate Primary School, Birmingham on May 30. The children were all engrossed and inspired by his personal delivery, anecdotes and the warmth of his approach. He found the perfect balance between a well constructed presentation and natural responses to questions, comments and the unexpected reactions that children always provide. Many of the children have commented of their admiration at his inspiration, and a return visit is a must!”

“To Paul, thank you for inspiring me, I learned that we shouldn’t give up! You made it very clear to me that even with no legs you can still make a difference! I loved it when you was playing blind football with one of the boys! Please come again!”
